From executive producer J.J. Abrams ('Lost', 'Fringe', 'Star Trek', 'Super 8') and writer/producer Elizabeth Sarnoff ('Lost', 'Deadwood') comes 'Alcatraz', a new thriller set in America's most unpopular prison, also known as The Rock, located in San Francisco Bay (California) and home to history's most vicious killers, rapists, kidnappers and thieves. When San Francisco detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones, 'Sons of Anarchy,' 'Big Love,' 'Justified') is assigned a gruesome new homicide case, a fingerprint points to an unlikely suspect: Jack Sylvane (Jeffrey Pierce, 'The Nine,' 'Simone'), a former Alcatraz tenant who died years ago. Given his family history - both his grandfather and uncle, Ray Archer (Robert Forster, 'Jackie Brown'), were prison guards - Madsen's curiosity is immediately piqued. And when government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill, 'Jurassic Park,' 'The Tudors,' 'Merlin') tries to hinder her, there's no stopping her from her purpose: to learn the truth. Madsen finds Alcatraz expert and graphic novel addict Diego 'Doc' Soto (Jorge Garcia, 'Lost', 'How I Met Your Mother') and together they try to explain how a dead man's fingerprint could have gotten on a recent murder. They both discover that Sylvane is alive, and that he is also leaving a trail of corpses in his wake. And, even stranger, he hasn't aged at all since he was at The Rock. Not one iota since she was controlled with an iron fist by Warden Edwin James (Jonny Coyne, 'Undercovers', 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life') and the mercilessly merciless E.B. Tiller (Jason Butler Harner, 'Next', 'The Exchange').
