This hit Fox series, created by Hart Hanson ('Joan of Arcadia') and based on forensic anthropologist and mystery writer Kathy Reichs, introduces the story of Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel, 'The Poplar, the Legend'), who would be Reichs' portrayal in the series and the series' protagonist. As one of the most qualified professionals in her field, Dr. Brennan works in the forensic science department of the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington D.C. examining cadaver remains. Her mastery of anthropology allows her to reconstruct how deceased persons lived and died when the remains found are minimal, even when they are limited to bones. That is why, when the FBI is faced with cases in which traditional methods of corpse identification are not sufficient, they turn to Dr. Brennan to clarify the facts. This cool collaboration with the FBI will put Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz, 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', 'Angel'), a sniper haunted by the ghosts of his past, alongside our protagonist. The series focuses not only on the cases investigated in each episode, but also on the internal plot of each character and the relationships between them. The dichotomous views that the protagonists have when it comes to science and faith along with the powerful chemistry and sexual tension that exists between them will be the perfect breeding ground for their relationship as co-workers.
