'Daredevil' revolves around Matt Murdock, a lawyer by day and superhero by night. Despite being blind, he possesses incredibly developed hearing, smell, strength and agility. Matt Murdoch will relentlessly roam the streets of Hell's Kitchen, New York, hunting down all kinds of criminals who cannot be punished in a court of law. The dramatic, action-packed adventure series is based on Marvel's comic book of the same name. The writer, showrunner, executive producer and director of the superhero series is Drew Goddard, who also wrote the screenplays for 'The Cabin in the Woods' and 'World War Z'. It is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios, DeKnight Productions, Walt Disney Company and Goddard Textiles. Netflix has handled its broadcast via its platform. The series stars Charlie Cox, with actors Rosario Dawson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Toby Leonard Moore rounding out the cast. It is one of four series Netflix is making alongside 'Jessica Jones', 'Luke Cage' and 'Iron Fist'. Each consists of 13 episodes and are joined in the miniseries 'The Defenders', the group of Marvel superheroes to which they belong or belonged at some point.
