This teen drama is based on the eponymous series of novels written by Cecily von Ziegesar and adapted for television by Josh Schwartz ('The O.C.', 'Chuck') and Stephanie Savage ('The O.C.'). The series is narrated by the omniscient blogger "Gossip Girl Queen," (voiced by Kristen Bell, 'Heroes', 'Veronica Mars') who from her anonymity reviews the secrets and innermost issues of a group of young socialites from the Upper East Side neighborhood in Manhattan, New York.

This story begins with Serena van der Woodsen's (Blake Lively, 'Saturday Night Live') return to the neighborhood after a mysterious stay at a boarding school in Cornwall, Connecticut. However, the most important character in the series is precisely Blair Waldorf (Lighton Meester, 'Shark', 'House'), Serena's friend in the past and biggest rival today. Blair is the Queen Bee of the school, popular as they come.
