PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, better known by its acronym PUBG, is a multiplayer online battle royale video game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. It is based on a series of previous mods created by Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene for other titles, using the movie Battle Royale as inspiration; later expanding into a solo video game under his supervision create wallpaper 35. In PUBG, up to 100 players parachute onto an island, searching for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding being killed themselves. The available safe area of the game map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players to more enclosed areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the game.
