Resistance 3 is the video game that closes the trilogy of Insomniac Games between World War II and Science Fiction, exclusively for the PlayStation 3 console. The first-person shooter places its action four years after the events of Resistance 2: in 1953, the United States falls to the invasion of chimeras. The survivors take refuge in hovels where they fight clandestinely against the invaders, and Joseph Capelli sets out on a journey to escort his son and ensure him a better life. Resistance 3's campaign features a more carefully crafted story than in previous installments. In addition to the campaign that can be enjoyed in solo or split-screen cooperative multiplayer, Resistance 3 features a 16-player competitive multiplayer mode with five modes popular in the FPS genre: CTF, deathmatch, team deathmatch, chain reaction and breach.
