Shingeki no Kyojin, also known in Spanish-speaking countries as Ataque a los titanes and Ataque de los titanes,2n. 2 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The manga was published in September 2009 in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine by Kōdansha Publishing and was released on a monthly basis until April 2021 with a total of 139 chapters. Its story ended after almost twelve years. In Spain, the manga is distributed by Norma Editorial and in Latin America by Panini publishing house; except in Argentina where it is distributed by Ovni Press publishing house. The story takes place in a fictional world in which humanity is on the verge of extinction due to humanoid creatures called "titans", which forces the survivors to take refuge in three huge walls that prevent access to these monsters. The plot revolves around Eren Jaeger who, after losing his mother to the titans, decides to join the "Army of the Walls" together with his adoptive sister and his best friend in order to avenge his mother's death and destroy the titans. Later, he discovers that he has the power to transform into a titan with special characteristics, which will trigger a whole series of events.
