Julia (Jessica Biel, 'Total Recall: Total Recall') is a young nurse who lives in Cold Rock, a small, dreary town in the United States with her five-year-old son David. Several children have mysteriously disappeared in the town, without anyone being able to find out the reason for these disappearances. Many of the townspeople believe that they have been abducted by the Boogeyman, a sinister and dark figure who has allegedly abducted children in the past. One day, Julia's son David disappears and she tirelessly tries to uncover and unravel the legend of the Boogeyman until she finds her son. But who really is the Bogeyman? And what happens to the children he kidnaps? Will Julia manage to rescue her little boy alive?
