The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is an action role-playing video game, a direct sequel to The Witcher. CD Projekt RED sets its universe of dark and medieval fantasy in the books of Geralt of Rivia by Andrzej Sapkowski. It offers numerous visual and gameplay improvements over the first one. The protagonist is not only more agile, but has a larger arsenal including bombs, traps and ranged weapons. In The Witcher 2 game, the witcher Geralt must investigate the murder of the Temerian king Foltest, who was in his custody during a rebellion by the main families of Temeria.
