German-born director Roland Emmerich ('Independence Day', 'The Day After Tomorrow'), directs this thriller that takes place in the White House itself. A paramilitary group has gained access to the facilities of the famous building and has kidnapped the President of the United States, causing total institutional chaos. The American secret service will decide to act to control the situation and prevent a coup d'�tat, so it will entrust a mission of maximum risk to one of its agents, John Cale (played by Channing Tatum, 'Magic Mike'). The officer was in the presidential quarters at the time by chance, as he had taken his daughter to visit her on a sightseeing tour. Now he will have to protect his little girl, the President of the United States and the entire nation.
